Method of judging centrifugal blower surge
1. Listen
Centrifugal blower Under normal operating conditions, the centrifugal blower is low noise and continuous. When approaching the surge condition, the noise generated by the airflow in the air outlet duct is high and low, and periodically changes due to the periodic oscillation of the airflow generated by the entire system. When entering the surge condition, the noise is immediately increased greatly, and even a popping sound appears.
2. Look
Observe the pressure and flow of the centrifugal blower outlet. When the centrifugal blower is operated under stable conditions, the centrifugal blower's outlet pressure and inlet flow rate change little and regularly, and the measured data oscillates around the average value, and the variation is small, when approaching the surge condition. Both have changed a lot.
Observe the vibration of the body and bearings. When approaching the surge condition, the centrifugal blower housing will vibrate violently and the outlet pipe will also experience severe vibration.
