Installing a Side Channel Blower

With the advancement of industry, the amount of automation increases, as does the machinery utilized by big corporations. Many equipment, including as printing presses, have blowers. The suction of the side channel blowers is required in printing presses to secure the paper, avoiding the problem of the paper being moved during the process. This makes printing quick and straightforward. High as well. Furthermore, the side channel blower has many additional tasks that will assist us in many parts of production and life; thus, installing a side channel blower is critical and will solve many issues for you. This post will walk you through the process of installing the side.

1. The installation procedure

1) Before installing the side channel blower

Before installing this device, turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Place the blower somewhere it will not come into touch with water or other substances.

Install the blower in a weather-protected place.

Ground the blower electrically.

Failure to comply with these directions may result in death, fire, or electric shock.

2) After installing the side channel blower

It is important to note that proper installation is your responsibility.

Check for correct installation circumstances and that installation clearances do not obstruct air flow.

Any obstruction of air passage over the blower might cause the product to overheat.

To safeguard the product from impurities and overheating, the blower must be equipped with the appropriate sized input filter, gauge, and relief valve.

3) Following the installation of the side channel blower

i. Check that the blower is turning in the direction indicated by the arrow on the silencer. (On all models, the inlet and outlet silencers are denoted by an arrow.)

ii. Clean up any foreign matter (burrs, chips, welding drips, slag, pipe cuttings, extra sealant, sand, or lime).

iii. derived from plumbing.

iv. Before connecting to the plumbing, ensure that the motor is firmly placed and that the blower is rotating properly.Without the correct supporting parts, the inlet and outlet ports are not intended to sustain the piping.

v. Disconnect the input and output ports' safety rubber plugs. Fittings of the right size should be used to connect the plumbing.

On pressure applications, use a relief valve to expel excess air over the specified level. When the desired vacuum level is reached, use a vacuum relief valve to suck in extra air.

Install an intake filter to keep extraneous particles out of the blower. Install a moisture separator with a drain valve in situations where there is significant humidity or liquids are utilized in the process.

2. Ongoing maintenance

Precautions and maintenance:

Because lubrication is not required, these blowers require little routine maintenance. If an appropriate suction filter is placed in the system, the blower will work flawlessly even when utilized continually. The suction filter may be cleaned on a regular basis after extended use.

Check:

When the impeller is delayed, it rotates freely. Clean the suction filter on a regular basis. Air suction or exhaust pipe for dust collection.

Overhauling:

The following process must be followed while removing the blower for failure or maintenance:

1) Turn off the blower motor's power source.

2) Unplug the blower from the system.

3) Take off the silencer.

4) Unscrew the assembly bolts and remove the blower.

The blower is composed of a bottom shell, a motor with an impeller, and a top shell. Keep the blower up and loosen the locking bolt to remove the impeller. Remove any burrs and clean the components.

Reassembly:

1) Place the impeller on the motor shaft and tighten the locking bolt using the locking washer.

2) To ensure free spinning, rotate the impeller by hand.

3) Replace the bottom housing on top of the top housing and guarantee free rotation once again.

4) Install the silencer and run a trial run.

No portion of the blower should be hammered or machined.

2) Troubleshooting, testing, and resolution:

Overloading of the motor:

1) Without dismantling the motor, check the air gap of the blower.

2) After disassembly, run the motor independently to verify the current, voltage, and connection.

Abnornal Noise:

1) Examine the blower's free rotation.

2) Remove the blower and inspect it for any foreign stuff.

3) Examine the motor bearing.

Jammed:

Check the shaft for rotational resistance, bearing wear, and friction burrs/foreign matter after removing the blower.

3. Finally

Side channel blowers are not only important in the printing business, but they are also utilized in many other places. It is present in numerous businesses and may be considered to be present in every aspect of our life.
